Why? Well, the biggest push is this:
www.zazzle.com/edward_62_skate…Yes, that is MY digital artwork. No, that is NOT my account. Someone is using my hard work to make a quick chunk of change... WITHOUT my permission.
I have never dealt with art theft before, though I've had lots of friends who have. And frankly, I find myself so incensed by it that I don't even want to BOTHER with my gallery anymore.
Also, DA has taken down three of my wallpapers - again. The frustration of trying to keep the art up without switching accounts every 6 months is really starting to wear on me.
This is not a "I'm doing it - see you later" message. This is just me being really, REALLY angry.
I've contacted Zazzle and expect swift removal of my artwork from her selling pool. If this doesn't happen, I'll start researching who to contact about digital art theft.
I am still thinking of moving all my art to my own Web site and updating a gallery from there, leaving a link here to it. The only thing holding me back is the time I would need to code the entire site. If anyone knows someone who's good at HTML coding and would consider doing it at a much discounted price (newly married and expecting a baby, husband working fulltime and going to college... we don't have a lot of spare cash), then please drop me a note with some contact info!
Anyway, rant done. I feel better getting that off my chest, though I'll REALLY feel better when Zazzle clears up the theft issue.
